The College of Science’s broad-ranging programs in physical sciences, life sciences, and mathematics provide students with a deep understanding of emerging research and technology, encompassing such powerful disciplines as nanoscience, chemical biology, cognition and neuroscience, environmental and marine science, biochemistry, and network science. COLLEGE CHALLENGES

College of Science Challenge 1

When the College of Science has received gifts from 100 donors to any COS fund, an anonymous donor will release $10,000 to The COS Dean's Fund.

College of Science Challenge 2

When the College of Science has received gifts from an additional 100 donors to any COS Fund, another anonymous donor will release $10,000 to the College of Science Dean's Scholarship Fund 

College of Science Departments Challenge

When 100 donors make a gift to your favorite departments' discretionary fund, a $10,000 gift from John and Anne James will be released to the COS Dean's Fund.

College of Science Match

When the College of Science has raised $8,000, an anonymous donor will release an additional $8,000 to the Bridge to Science Fund.

Advancing Women in Science Challenge

When 50 donors make a gift to the Advancing Women in Science Fund, an additional $10,000 gift from Dorothea Schlosser and Tom Kopczynski PNT ’24, ’26 will be released to Advancing Women in Science.

The Jacob Davis Memorial Scholarship Challenge 

When 35 donors make a gift to the Jacob Davis Scholarship Fund, a $5,000 gift from an anonymous COS parent will be released to the Davis Fund

The Jacob Davis Memorial Scholarship STRETCH Challenge

When 70 donors make a gift to the Jacob Davis Scholarship Fund, an additional $1,000 gift from an anonymous COS parent will be released to the Davis Fund

Challenge of the Colleges

The three schools or colleges with the largest percentage increase in donors on Giving Day will receive these challenge dollars for their Dean's Funds. 

1st Place = $20,000 2nd Place = $12,000 3rd Place = $8,000

Dollar Up Challenge

$40,000 in challenge funds will be split between each school that raises $10,000 or more by 8 PM on Giving Day.
