Pre-Health Unrestricted Fund

The PreMed and PreHealth Advising Program is a specialized advising unit operating under The Office of the Provost at Northeastern University. PreMed and PreHealth Advising exists to support undergraduate students and alumni from across the university’s global campus network, and students and alumni enrolled in the Northeastern University’s Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Certificate Program, on their pathway to medical school, dental school, physician assistant school, podiatry school, optometry school, and veterinary school.

With nearly 3,000 active students and alumni, our vision is to create a premedical education ecosystem that not only increases acceptance rates to health professional school but also fosters a sense of belonging and enhances the overall pre-health student experience. Our average acceptance rate is nearly twice the national average, and includes over 130 institutions, including top-ranked programs.

Support for the PreMed and PreHealth Advising Program will be utilized to enhance and expand current services for pre-health students. This includes but is not limited to, expenses related to entrance exam courses (i.e., MCAT, DAT, etc.), the annual NU Health Professions Conference, building the Alumni Mentor Network, and expanding professional development and experiential learning opportunities to ensure enhanced success outcomes for our students. Funds will only be dispersed for purposes that directly benefit Northeastern in the attainment of its mission and goals.
