Alpha Kappa Sigma - Fraternity

Alpha Kappa Sigma Fraternity was founded at Northeastern University, School of Engineering, on December 15, 1919. At the time, the Fraternity was known as Delta Epsilon Kappa, the Democratic Engineering Club. At a meeting on February 28th, 1920 the name was changed to Alpha Kappa Sigma.

Alpha Kappa Sigma is more than just a fraternity—we’re a brotherhood built on camaraderie, leadership, and lifelong connections. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, united by shared values and a commitment to excellence in academics, service, personal growth, as well as the advancement of kindred sympathy. Whether we’re organizing campus events, giving back to the community, or just enjoying time together, the bonds we forge here last a lifetime. Our mission is to ensure an enduring brotherhood that challenges its members to advance their NU collegiate experience and enable their future success by instilling the core values of scholarship, loyalty, and leadership.
